RV Tip: Doggie Bag Bumper Storage

This tip is one that works great—and the price is right!

We have an RV-sized dog (a Chihuahua) who goes where we go—and goes where she goes! Naturally, we have to pick it up so the next camper doesn't step in it barefoot.

Invariably, I would forget to bring a plastic bag or paper towel along when taking her out and have to walk all the way back to the rig to fetch one. One day while sitting at the picnic table, I noticed that the curb-side rubber bumper cap has a hole in it, just like the street-side cap used for sewer hose storage.

I decided to take a chain of grocery store produce bags, stuff them into the bumper cavity, and leave the end of the first bag trailing out through the bumper plug hole. Now I can pull them out one at a time and tear them off as needed. It works like a charm!

Now when I take Chocolate Chip out, I simply grab a bag as we walk past the rear bumper. Best of all, when I ask to pay for extra produce bags at the market, the grocer always says, "No charge!"
