Marty:
We " was smart"!
The buy in was normally $3,000. ( depending on the campground you pick for your base). Remember if you pick an " expensive base" you'll pay more, but STILL get all the advantages if buying a cheaper one.
EXAMPLE:
The Oasis RV Resort in Las Vegas, is a " member of the network park". (We can stay there two weeks at a time TWICE during the year as a network member). Home park member can stay as often as they want, but two weeks in, two weeks out, back and forth all year.
Their dues are about $400, per year as " home park, and still the same $8.00 per night.
ME: We went on the internet and found a " reseller" like the old story, BUT, there are some folks out there, bought it, tried it didn't like it, GET ME OUT OF IT, I DON'T CARE WHAT COST!
I found the cheapest RV park in the system, (remember recipricity)
and that is MY home park, it's dues are FROZEN at $89.00 per year,
and it cost me $3 HUNDRED to buy in. It is transferable, so I can sell it whenever I want.
By the way, it is near you:
breckenridge lake resort, crossville, tennessee.
...... you should see the looks I get, when I go into a campground THIRTY MILES from my house, and they look on the computer and see my home park is in Tennessee!
