Mid Coast Calif Parks that you can leave your RV at

Hi folks
In a year or two the wife retires and we get to do some serious rving. Plan to take 10 months and noodle around from the east out to alaska and then down into Calif. We know a fellow from my wifes home town that leaves his coach over on the coast near Morro and they have a storage lot that they move the RV from onto a site when he is coming. It is some sort of membership thing, but he does not own a site full time only has rights to rent so many days a year. I am wondering if anyone knows of that sort of thing and what the options are. We want to leave it out and go back and forth for a while.

The only two that I know are:

1) PISMO COAST VILLAGE, near Pismo Beach, yes Membership,
and

2) Morro Dunes RV Park, ( non membership)
BUT...

2 YEAR WAITING LIST to get a storage spot!
