Newfoundland in late September early October

Is it too late to travel to Cape Breton Island Newfoundland in late September early October? What is the weather like there at that time of year?

We laughed when we got your email. You and everyone else are asking the same question. No we haven't. We had one thing after another...and my daughter got engaged as well so we had to "meet the fockers"...etc. Then our dog came into heat and you just can't take a dog in heat... that took 3 weeks out of our summer...So, we plan on leaving on the 23rd. And actually, we're better prepared and more informed than we were before. Can't wait.
