it's time for a new brake controller for the truck. any suggestions as to the best ones out there?? i've looked at several of the new digital ones, but can't decide. is simple better??

You might want to look at Prodigy by Tekonsha and the Jordan brake controllers. There are others that are good but these two get a lot of press. The Jordan connects to the brake pedal with a mechanical cable while the Prodigy is all electronic. Both are good units and I am sure you will get recommendations from both groups of users.

The BrakeSmart controller is getting rave reviews, but kinda pricey.
I really like my Prodigy.

I think you'll be very pleased with it. Far superior to the other/older models I have used.
