Yep, I've used one on both 110 & 12 v for years. I was a scoutmaster for five years and used a dry cell on back packing trips ( 2 nights). Later on, we used the same process dry camping with new girl scouts and their families
Spent my youth working on RV's with my Dad. I'm just coming back to them now and found my child hood was not a total waste.

have you looked at a converter from dc to ac like they sell to fit the cig lighters and give out ac? Just hook one up and plug into it like at the wall and you should have your machine available again. Dont know how they will run off the battery but should be a minimum draw, recharge in AM.

I have a Philips Respironics, it is a 12v machine. My DW has a Resmed Ultra I believe, and it too is a 12v machine. What I did was install 2 12v outlets, 1 on each side of the bed to plug our machines into. The 12v service is 8 gauge wire running direct to 2 12v deep cycle batteries, with a 10 amp inline fuse. Haven't used it yet for more than 1 night. Hope to change that this summer, as DW has finished her chemo, and radiation treatments, so we can get out more!
So many campgrounds so little time!
