Two batteries {if the same} gives you twice the use as one before recharging.

It is called Amp Hours if put two batteries in series you have twice the Amp Hours to play with. In other words, you can stay on site without charging your batteries longer. Go here http://bart.ccis.com/home/menemeth/12volt/12volt.htm and read all about it. Carl

You are right rob..A series connection using two 12V batteries P to N will give you 24V. A Parallel Connection P to P and N to N will up your Amp Hours. Carl

You've not said whether the batteries are 6V or 12V. If the former, 2 are needed to get to the required 12 volts the accessories need. Either way, the bottom line is the 2 batteries give double the capacity of a single 12V battery.

May not be important if you typ stay in an RV park with hook-ups. On the other hand if you camp where there is not hook-ups, you soon appreciate the added capacity especially if you don't have a genset to recharge.

If you do have 6 volt batteries, they need to be hooked up in Series to give you 12V. Two 12 V should be hooked up in parallel. Carl

It just makes them last longer. Place a wire from + on one battery to + on the other one, and another - to -/ Then hook your trailer's ground wire to the - terminal on either battery (doesn't matter which one), and your trailer's + wire to the + terminal on either battery (again, it doesn't matter which).
