Hi folks, been a long time since I last checked in. Have had personal commitments that keep me away from the RV world. Commitments are back to normal & have been able to get away 3 times over the last few months.

See a number of names I recall and hope all are doing well.

While weather is still somewhat warm I discovered my FA heater is on the fritz. Dang, with the MH only being 19 yrs old you'd think things wouldn't go on the fritz so soon. Pulled the heater out during the trip last week and gave it the once over. In the past on a couple occasions I've had tiny creepy crawlies get up into the burner section and plug the orifice. Not this time. From what I could investigate it looks like I'm down to a couple things. Gas isn't getting turned on. Bad valve and/or sel, bad electrical connection between sel and control board or the board itself. Looks like I need to pull the unit again and see what the actual problem is.

Hope this yrs fuel prices haven't kept everyone away from travel/camping.

Could it be low battery? Once upon a time, when I had a boat.
My new heater didn't work.
I took it back and they tested it and it worked.
I re-installed it.
I tested the battery and it was good.
I still couldn't get it to ignite although the fan ran.
Finally I put the vm on the battery and started the heater.
The voltage dropped down when I turned on the heater.
I had not tested it under a load so when I put a load on it down it went.
New battery and all OK.

Was running on shore power so battery not likely the issue. Regardless, I'll need to pull he unit again and will have a better chance to get proper diagnosis. The unit goes through the normal start process including sparking so I doubt fan speed or sail switch is at fault.

I'll need to check in once in a while and see how everyone is doing. Thanks for the welcome back.

OK The valve takes more power then the fan so keep your eyes open and let us know what you find.

Pressing family matter have kept me busy and no time forr camping or RVing. That's behind me now.

This past week I took care if an exhaust problem and soon will be tackling the heater problem. Who knows, I might get out another time this yr and may need the heater.
