find a level course i would recommend 10 miles (use the yardsticks along the side of the road) run at 60 then at 65 over the course, use a stopwatch and start it at the stick as you go by at whatever speed you plan to check, stop it whenever you reach a point you think is adequate. go to the website and convert time and distance to get you actual speed.
using the roadside yard sticks will also give you indications as to the accuracy of the odometer if you take note of the indicated milage when you start and finish and compare to the milage markers you were using for distance traveled. granted these are not exact but they will be close enough for comparison purposes.
